Oh well…here it goes
Hey all 
Boy have I been putting this off!
I made the decision ages ago that i was going to write a free report. I’d aim it at newbies looking to get started online and tell them about all the pitfalls i’d come across as well as some time saving tips.
I’d then submit the report to a few giveaways and expand my list – Pretty simple stuff.
But the truth is i’ve become more than a little side tracked and I’m not good at concentrating at the best of times. But anyway, i’ve compiled 6 or 7 sheets of paper and organized them into something that could remotely resemble a report. Now i’ve got to type it all up and create a site where people can download it from.
Then I’m gonna sign up to some giveaways and hopefully expand my list (saw loads of giveaways on JR’s blog). However, I have a funny feeling that the whole process isn’t going to go as smoothly as planned.
So, If anyones got any advice or you think i’ve missed something then i’d be grateful if you’d leave a comment.

Your plan sounds doable. Believe me I know how hard it is to maintain a concentrated effort on your project.
I am so busy looking at blogs, websites, tutorials, forums and such I have trouble sectioning out an hour a day to work on my book.
I just finished reading David Walker’s Stop Slogging Start Blogging book. I must say it was well worth downloading and reading. Lots of good stuff in there on the finer points of bloggging.
After reading his book, however, it makes me want to re-format mine. You already suggested that.
I wanted to make a couple comments about giveaways. Don’t get me wrong I am not dissin them because I am building a list with them, slow but ever increasing.
Anyway I attached my google analytics code to the squeeze page of two of my giveaway gift set ups. I now see the traffic to my giveaway squeeze page that is coming from any particular giveaway event.
Here is what I am noticing: Page visits are low, that default because I only have one page set up with analytics code. The other thing though that bothers me a little is: Time on sight is very low, just a few seconds and bounce rate is very high, 100% most of the time.
If anyone else is reading this comment on Nathaniels blog, do you have an opinion on my comment about google analytics and giveaways?

Haven’t done a giveaway myself yet, but I do know both Paul Hooper and JT Martin are really good at them… Marcus Passey is a protege of Paul Hooper too.
Also, just thought I’d let you know about a video blog post of mine Alex Jeffreys commented on yesterday (blog url above)… another 60 plus students have also commented on the same video post within the past 72 hours too.

You are getting an awful lot of spam on your comments. I am preparing a giveaway package at the moment and I am trying to get to grips with an e-book. My computer and BT have others ideas at the moment. I say try it, if it doesn’t work for you then try something else. As long as you are trying all the time, eventually we will all find the key that works for us.
